“Like some cat from Japan, he could lick ‘em by smiling.”
I’m beginning to think that my obsession with David Bowie is a tad unhealthy. My past two AOL screen names have been heavily influenced by his song, Ziggy Stardust, and I now have a blog with a name inspired by it… o.O
Anyways! I started my Saturday morning off just right with a brilliant idea I woke up with. I had: a container of Oikos vanilla greek yogurt & sliced strawberries with a 10g sprinkling of Kashi GoLean Crunch! and a microwaved Clif KidZ chocolate chip bar. Mmm… the chocolate drizzle on top was all gooey and melted. I had a cold glass of Classic Chocolate Malt Carnation Instant Breakfast (not pictured) to finish it all off. Definite food porn.
After breakfast, my mom began pressuring me to do my spanish homework. You’d think that since I’m already fluent, spanish homework would be a breeze, right? WRONG. It’s so easy for me, that I can’t concentrate on it at all. I feel like I’m doing homework at the difficulty level of a kindergartener. I just can not… respect it. But my spanish teacher doesn’t seem to be understanding of this for some reason? :p
Lunch/very awaited break from spanish homework: Amy’s Spinach Feta in a pocket sandwich with 2 tbsp of hummus and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and chopped peach halves.

Then I got ready to go to the mall with two of my close friends- Emily and Charles. Before I left I had a Chocolate Peanut Kashi GoLean Crunchy! Bar. This was the first time I’d ever had one and I was impressed. Sooo good.
My parents took forever to get out of the house but we finally managed to leave and get to the Galleria. There is this new lingerie store there, I think it is called Gilly Hicks, and I swear it was like a maze in there! I thought something was going to pop out from a corner or a scantily clad mannequin. Emily and I kept walking into stores and I’m pretty sure Charles wasn’t a happy camper
Oh well. Dinner was the Southwest Chargrilled salad from Chick-fil-a. Not the healthiest, but not every meal can be perfect.
After the mall, Emily went home and Charles and I watched Slumdog Millionaire together. I had a delicious little bowl of Cascade Fresh low fat Strawberry yogurt, 1/4 c. Cascadian Farm Purely-O’s cereal, and 20g strawberries.
Slumdog Millionaire was an excellent movie and all, but I’m sorry, I’m not so sure that it deserved THAT many Oscars :/ After we dropped Charles off it was about midnight. I was hungry so I had some chamomile tea and a turkey breast sandwich on Ezekiel Bread with some raspberry jam!
Something I learned from a fact box I wrote for the school paper is that a turkey sandwich is the perfect bed time snack. Looks like today was a good day then, hm? Goodnight!
