A New Beginning

There is my baby, Sanura. I was finally able to take a picture of her where it isn’t blurry or where she is being indecent (as in butt-licking).
I woke up exhausted and all I wanted to do was go back to sleep, but I had no choice because I had to leave the house at 9:45 to see my new dietician. I had another petite breakfast which was: cottage cheese topped with strawberries, blueberries, banana, and papaya chunks.
So fricking good!
I got ready and read up a bit more on vegetarianism. I got around to looking at the nutrition facts of lentils again and thanks to that, realized how stupid I am. I was afraid of eating lentils last time because I thought they were a bit high calorie and the serving size was only 1/4 cup, so that is the amount I had. Turns out, the nutrition facts that I read last time were for UNCOOKED lentils. UF! I will be having a cup of lentils rather than 1/4 c. tonight, thank you very much. The internet is lame.
I had a Vanilla Carnation Instant Breakfast and most of a Clif Kid Z bar before I left for the nutritionist. I ate the rest of it while I was there.
Here is where the news starts, though. I was doing everything wrong up until now. You see, at the clinic I was going to with “Dr. H”, they gave me no guidance as to how many calories I should have been consuming, so I had to come up with a number on my own. My number was not high enough and I have gained pretty much NO weight in four weeks. I wasted FOUR weeks. I will be upping my calories by 700 this week, and 400 the next, therefore a total of 1100 calories will be added to my diet. So starting today (more so tomorrow), you readers will notice a change in my meals and I’m hoping that watching me increase will motivate some of you struggling to increase as well. I am by no means comfortable with upping my calories but I’m going to do it for the sake of my life and health.
I didn’t get a picture of my lunch since I left my camera at home, sorry! But I went to Red Robin with my family and had The Gardenburger but instead of using their bun, I used an Ezekiel english muffin. I had some delicious steamed veggies on the side. I had no idea I like onion! It was the first time I had onions not inside the battered and fried casing of an onion ring, and they honestly taste hella yummier (and healthier!) this way. By the way, I will not be starting pescetarianism or vegetarianism yet. My nutritionist believes that I shouldn’t make that change until I am recovered
But its ok! I can wait, and this gives me alot of motivation to get better because I really do NOT like meat. Hahah.
When I got home, I enjoyed a yummy dessert of Brown Cow vanilla cream top yogurt topped with chopped fresh strawberries. Ohhh myy godd, it was heavenly.
Dinner was a slight challenge. I had to fit in a bowl of: 1 c. lentils, 2 chicken & sage breakfast sausages, broccoli, and chopped plantains with some black pepper cashews on the side. So.. much… fiber… can’t… move… from… FULLNESS! Never again will I eat so much fiber at once. Oh goodness.
I watched a really cute movie with my family after dinner called: “Legally Blondes”. It is tied in with the Legally Blonde movies and it is like a teeny bopper version of Legally Blonde. It was soooo cute! And surprisingly not that cheesy. Me gusto. I watched the Addams Family with my brother after that. Ugh by 10, I was still super full but I had to have a snack. I did not meet my new calorie goal today.. but tomorrow I will! I’m determined to do this. My bedtime snack was a Cashew Cookie LaraBar and some nasty hot chocolate I made out of Almond Milk . My hot chocolate was not a winner. I’m sick just thinking about it.. BUT the LaraBar was awesome! That was my first time ever eating one. It tasted like cookie dough.
I’m still very full and I am going to go to bed now once my aunt and uncle leave. I had no idea they were over and I heard my mom talking to some man downstairs and I was like “ESCUSE-MOI!? My mom has a mysterious man over while my dad is on a business trip? I don’t think so!” Turns out it was just my uncle, haha. Goodnight everyone, and no cheating on your hubbies! :p- just kidding.
Stay strong, Love Karina <3
