Hello all! Unfortunately, a few pictures of my meals are going to be missing because my aunt took my camera out of town by accident thinking that it was hers (even though they look NOTHING alike), and then my brother deleted the pictures I took on his camera… but luckily I was able to capture mostly everything!
Lets start off with yesterday’s eats, hm?
I had: 1 c. of Kashi Go Lean Crunch! cereal in raspberry flavored Stonyfield Farm yogurt with half a sliced banana over it and a nice drizzling of strawberry syrup.
After breakfast, I coninued trying to finish my bio project. Gah, I know I keep complaining about it, but it is so hard and annoying to do the same project twice. My brother seems to be very talented at erasing my work, haha. But I don’t blame him. He has Cerebral Palsy so I know that he doesn’t do things like that to be cruel. He is too innocent.
It was pretty hot outside so I treated myself to some BBQ potato chips and I made everyone… SNOW CONE bowls! :D They weren’t that great, but whatever. Sugary ice is fun no matter what, am I right?
Lunch came soon after, and OHMYGOD, my lunch was… amazing. Ever since I had that Curried Tofu Grilled Cheese Sandwich, I have been extremely excited about tofu and experimenting with it. I was feeling really asianey yesterday so I made a Sweet & Sour Tofu with green beans stir-fry. It was to die for. Absoloutly amazing.
I accompanied this with 2 potato latkes with some applesauce for dipping. Yum!
So I finished lunch as a very happy camper. We decided to celebrate Mother’s Day yesterday instead of today because my mom has to get a colonoscopy done on Monday, so we were going to celebrate at PF Changs’ so that meant… more chinese food! WHOOOOO! I was super pumped (but nervous because the portions there scare the bejeeses out of me) and went to get ready. Once I was done, I had my dad drive me to Kroger to pick up a really nice card for my mom. I picked out one of those new cards that play music as well as letting you record a message before the music starts. I had a Larabar while I shopped for the card:
My friend, Ana, was at the Mother’s Day celebration so we had a pretty good time and shared the food. I didn’t get a shot of my meal but I’ll give you a nice little description of what the two of us shared! We ordered the Orange Peel Shrimp (which was a really delicious shrimp of the… orange color), Sichuan-style Asparagus (long spicy green things), and a cup of egg drop soup! Yeah, my description rocks :p Haha, ok, although I didn’t catch my meal… my uncle got this really nice picture of the women in my family!
After dinner, Ana and I escaped to the mall and I bought my mom some Mother’s Day gifts with the money I had just received from my source of income! I bought her stress relief aromatherapy oil and sensualizing body lotion to bring the spice back into her life. We all went to grab some frozen yogurt at around 10 PM. FreshBerry yogurt is the best!
When I got home, my mom and I started watching The Broken, another one of those “8 Films to Die For”. This film didn’t impress me. It was really good until the ending, it just did not leave you satisfied because it didn’t really seem to end >.< The rest of the movie was pretty cool though. I enjoyed a nice Chai Latte while I watched it.
Overall, it was a really fantastic and relaxed day. I felt genuinely happy throughout the entire day. Hopefully things stay this good for as long as possible
TODAY’S EATS! Mother’s Day.
I am going to keep today’s portion short and sweet because I did not do anything today. I just chilled at home and watched the America’s Next Top Model marathon on Oxygen with my mom, who was sick all day because she has to prepare for tomorrow’s Colonoscopy. It is so weird watching someone you know on TV! To those who have been watching America’s Next Top Model, finalist Allison Harvard is my very best friend’s sister. I know, I know, my opinion is probably biased due to this but I really think Allison deserves to win the competition. She is an amazing model. We’ll just have to wait to see who wins on Wednesday evening though!
Anyways, breakfast was a whole wheat Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich with a glass of cold strawberry Carnation Instant Breakfast!
Then I had a Bumble Bar in Chai flavor! It was so good and so healthy. My favorite combination.
Lunch: Curried garbanzo beans with sliced cinnamon bananas and pita bread with some delicious Cascade Fresh yogurt. For being low fat, it was extremely creamy! Those yogurts are sweetened with fruit juice and they are delicious.
As a snack later, I had cappuccino Soy Slender, an apple, and some mozarella string cheese- I love dairy with a passion, haha. I have to have it at every meal pretty much!
Unfortunately, those were all the shots I got today! I would type out the rest of what I ate today, but I feel very sick tonight for some reason, so I really am going to have to stop writing for the night. Sorry, guys! Hope everyone had a great weekend
<3 Karina
