The Foundation of a Good Day

“With eyes focused, sophomore Karina Pinzon straightened her hair. “Waking up with crazy untamed bed head is not a way to start a day,” said Pinzon. “Straightened, smooth hair is the foundation of a successful day.”
-KHS Yearbook 2009 May 14, 2009All work and no play makes Karina a dull, dull girl. That rip off quote from The Shining perfectly describes my day. I did nothing but work on my Spanish project for pretty much all the 16 hours I was awake. Luckily, the morning started off well with a bowl of Kashi “GLC” and a Cascade Fresh cherry flavored yogurt with sliced bananas. I sprinkled a little cinnamon on this and it was a little odd shaped bowl of heaven!
I just worked right after breakfast, honestly. Two hours later came my morning coffee. With it I had a Jocolat coffee bar. You’ll have to excuse my incredibly dull life

My mom and I began watching yet another one of the “8 Films to Die For” (there are actually 24 films out because the film festival has been around for 3 years). Today’s selection was “Autopsy” with Robert Patrick and Jessica Lowndes. I loved it! The gore was INSANE, even gorier than Re-Animator, although comparing these two movies is ridiculous since Re-Animator’s gore is there for comedy rather than shock value (few people will see the comedic aspect in Re-Animator though, I’m sure.) This was just a fun and kind of original slasher flick. I’ve noticed none of the films in this festival should be taken very seriously.
We took a break for lunch time. I was in the mood for tuna so I made a tuna & mozarella quesadilla with some BBQ PopChips and a sliced apple with almond butter. Sooo yum. For those still limiting themselves to Peanut Butter, try some “AB!”
The rest of the day truly was just work, so I’m just going to list the rest of my meals of the day.
Snack: Cottage Cheese with a Sensible Foods crunch dried fruit packet and a squirt of strawberry syrup, of course! Carnation Instant Breakfast on the side (I have to have two a day now..)
Dinner was a bowl of ground beef topped with: broccoli, plantain, oven reds, an egg (not pictured) and a Thomas whole grain english muffin on the side (not pictured).
Bedtime snack: Brown Cow peach flavored cream top yogurt.

Mathematics must DIE. I had to wake up at 7:45 because of it! Now, I am sure some of you early risers are rolling your eyes at me, but 7:45 is super early for me!
Breakfast was rather attractive looking. And tasted GREAT. I had Kashi Vive “Digestive Wellness” cereal (ooh baby!) with Stonyfield Farm vanilla yogurt and blueberries. I had my “CIS” on the side.
I started drawing my friend’s anniversary gift from her to her boyfriend. I am drawing a little collage of different pictures of them. It is exciting to have a little project to work on this weekend
Before I left for school to take my test, I grabbed a quick snack: coffee and an Amy’s apple toaster pop!
My math test was REALLY hard. Once again, it makes me feel like a dummy. After the test, I walked to HEB with my mom and we had a jolly time shopping for food. All our meals today were “Amyfied”. Lunch was an Amy’s cheese enchilada whole meal and we bought Amy’s pizzas for later!
Had some strawberries for dessert!
I’ve been drawing alot lately. I actually drew something called: “Battered Anna”, which has alot of meaning. It is a picture of “Ana” having been punched in the face by me, depicting that the Ana in me is starting to die. I would post the drawing since it has a positive meaning, but I am afraid that it could be triggering to some by the way I have drawn Anna. However, I know not everyone reading this is struggling from an ED, so you can view the drawing on my myspace page. View at your own risk, guys, please!
Snack was complicated since I wasn’t all that hungry. BUT it was delicious! Please try it! I had 2% Fage greek yogurt sweetened with strawberry syrup mixed with sunflower seeds and dried cranberries. It looked pretty and swirly, too.
I had to have that with my second CIS, so I was EXTREMELY and uncomfortably full. Even though Ana sometimes tells me to not eat something at times, I’ve learned to overpower her. No one should let Ana control them because she knows nothing and will only do harm to the body.
Dinner was 3 Amy’s Pizza slices (2 Margherita, 1 veggie) and 2 chicken & sage breakfast sausages (not pictured) and broccoli (not pictured)
Guess what I did after dinner??? I watched another film festival horror movie! Today, I watched “Unrest”. It was great and I loved it. After this, I went on a 10 minute walk and gave my fat dog a kiss on the belly (unnecessary and pointless information for you there).
My bed time snack was energy packed because I needed it. I had Swiss Muesli, 1/2 c. skim milk, 1 tsp cocoa powder plus an apple with 1 tbsp of almond butter on the side.
God, I am always so tired at the end of the day. Do I really do that much? I feel like I do hardly anything, haha. Goodnight and stay strong!

The jocolat bar looks so yummy! Why are larabars so expensive here???! >_<
I would love to try Fage yogurt (I tought it was whipped cream: it looks so creamy in your picture), but it’s not available in Canada…The yummy things are only in USA
Your really good at drawing, I think your style is really unique! I like to draw too, but only mangas. =^_^=

Fage is only good (in my opinion) if you can find it in 2%. Total is TOO creamy and I find the 0% to be really dry. Do you guys have Oikos? That one is one of my favorite
and thanks!

everything looks good, I love how you incorporate plantains into your dinner.
Btw, what kind of strawberry syrup do you use?

I actually use the Walden Farms strawberry syup, if you can even call that strawberry syrup. I just find REAL strawberry syrup to be too sweet.

I LOVE toaster pops they are delicious, not like pop-tarts which are way too sweet and artificial
